Since 1990, CMCA has completed more than 250 projects for over 100 California cities, counties, special districts, state agencies, and other public and quasi-public entities.

CMCA is about "place making." We are committed to planning that achieves: livable, pedestrian- oriented, distinct communities; environmental and economic sustainability; and social equity in both the process and results of planning

The principals and staff of CMCA are known for their abilities in crafting practical solutions to difficult planning problems, for their writing skills, their work in group facilitation, successful public participation programs, and other work with community groups and public agencies. A particular strength in their community planning and zoning work is their extensive experience in both policy formulation and implementation. CMCA develops plans, policies, and regulations that are not only innovative and creative, but also realistic and effective.

All CMCA principals serve as instructors at California Polytechnic State University, and for UC Davis and UCLA Extensions. Work by CMCA and its principals have won numerous awards from the California Chapter of the American Planning Association.

CMCA will draw upon the resources of a variety of other professionals in assembling multidisciplinary project teams where specialized expertise is needed. CMCA is affiliated with multiple architectural design, engineering, and environmental planning firms, as well as experts in other disciplines, including computer software, and child care planning. The primary focus of Crawford Multari & Clark Associates is service to local governments.
